Web Design & Development

Web design & development that wins customers.

A site that explains the business, takes the enquiry, and holds up on a phone.

Who it's for

  1. The site is behind you

You're better in person than online. The website looks like a template, or like it was finished in a weekend five years ago.

  2. Nothing can be done on it

People can't book, buy, or even ask a question without hunting. The phone still does the job the site should do.

  3. You've outgrown the last one

A brochure site was fine. Now you have more services, more than one location, or a way of selling that the pages don't mention.

How we design

The page should feel like the business.

What you do, why a stranger should trust it, and one way to act. We settle that before we touch the colour. The look follows. It doesn't lead.

What's included

Everything the
job needs.

One fixed scope, agreed up front and delivered as one piece of work, not a pile of invoices.

Web Design & Development

  1. Design for this business

Pages drawn around what you sell and how people choose you. Not a theme with your logo dropped in.

  2. The build

Fast, on your domain, and structured so a new page later doesn't mean starting again.

  3. The words

We write the pages, or shape what you've already got until it sounds like you on a good day.

  4. Booking, shop, or enquiry

Whichever is how you actually get paid. Wired in, tested, and obvious.

  5. Search and speed

Titles, structure, and a site that loads properly on a phone over bad wifi. Every website includes a clear technical foundation. Ongoing SEO, content work and maintenance can be scoped separately depending on what the business needs.

  6. Launch and ownership

It goes live on your domain and you own what we ship. Updates can come back to us when that's part of the agreement, or we can plan a simpler content path if you need to make routine changes yourself.

Price agreed before we begin. Anything outside this board is quoted separately, never assumed.

Get a fixed price

Under the surface

What the price
is actually for.

The page is the part you notice. The cost is also search, set up properly, the ordinary legal protections, and a list of small things that are expensive to discover after launch.

Found in search

In place before the site goes live, for what you sell and where you work. Climbing the rankings month after month is a different job.

  • Titles people would type

Every page says what it is, in the words a customer actually searches.

  • A structure that can be read

One clear heading, a sensible order, and links between the pages that matter.

  • Details that match

Name, address, phone and hours, the same as your Google listing. Mismatches cost you local searches.

  • Fast on a phone

Images sized, pages that still load when the connection is poor.

  • Ready to measure

Where analytics and Search Console are part of the build, we connect them at launch so you can see if anyone arrived.

  • A map, submitted

Search engines get a sitemap. New pages are not left to be found by luck.

Harder to get wrong

We are not your lawyer. We do put the ordinary protections in place before someone enquires, books, or pays.

  • Privacy, in plain language

What you collect, why, and who sees it. Needed as soon as a form, a booking, or analytics is on the site.

  • Consent where it is required

Tracking and ads do not run silently when the rules say they need a yes.

  • Usable by more than one kind of person

Type that can be read, buttons that can be reached, pages that work from a keyboard. Those are the usual complaints.

  • A clear price, if you sell

Terms, receipts, and the total shown before anyone pays.

  • Forms that ask less

Name, the question, a way to reply. Not a pile of fields you will never look at.

  • The padlock, everywhere

A secure connection on every page, from the day the site goes live.

The list nobody quotes

None of this is the design. It is why a bargain site starts costing money the week after it launches.

  • Enquiries that arrive

The right inbox, not a spam folder, and a note back to the person who wrote.

  • Old links still land

If a page moves, the previous address sends people somewhere useful.

  • A link that looks like you

A proper title and image when someone sends the site to a friend.

  • Spam kept out

Without making a real customer solve a puzzle to ask a question.

  • Checked where it is used

A phone and a laptop, in the browsers your customers actually have.

  • A record of what went live

What launched, and what we watch for the first stretch after.

How it goes

Four phases.
Then it's live.

How long depends on the project. A straightforward site can move quickly. A shop, a booking system, or a lot of pages takes longer. You'll know which before we start.

  1. Phase 1

    The brief

One working session. What you sell, who it's for, and what a visit to the site should end in.

  2. Phase 2

    The pages

Real layouts, on a phone-sized screen, with your words in them. Two rounds. No moodboards.

  3. Phase 3

    The build

The site, the booking or the shop, the forms, the speed. You review it on a private link.

  4. Phase 4

    Live

It goes up, we measure it, and the first round of changes is part of the job.

Good fit if…

  • Your site embarrasses you a little
  • People can't book, buy or ask easily
  • You look smaller online than you are

What you leave with

  • A first screen that says what you do
  • A site built for this business, not a rented theme
  • A way to book, buy, or enquire that works
  • Search and speed foundations handled before launch
  • A short record of what's live, and why

Questions

Asked often.

Do you use templates?

We design from a system we know well, then make it yours. You won't find the same site three towns over with the colours swapped.

What if something needs to change?

When updates are part of the agreement, you tell us. A price, a photo, a new service. We make the change. If you need to edit routine content yourself, we plan that into the build instead of leaving you stuck.

How long does a website take?

It depends on the project. A straightforward site can move quickly. A shop or a larger set of pages takes longer. We'll tell you before anything is signed.

What do you build it on?

A site made for this business, not a theme you rent and restyle. We'll tell you what it's built on before we start, and you own what we ship.

What if I don't have good photos?

We plan the pages so they don't depend on a stock photo of a handshake. If a few real pictures would change the site, we'll say so.

Do you write the copy?

Yes, unless you'd rather. Most owners would rather not, and the site is better when the writing is part of the job.

Do you build custom websites?

Yes. Pages are designed around what you sell and how people choose you, not a theme with a logo dropped in. Booking, shop or enquiry flows can be wired in when that's how you get paid.

Do you handle technical SEO?

Every website includes a clear technical foundation: titles, structure, speed on a phone, and the basics search engines need. Ongoing SEO and content work can be scoped separately.
